EURUSD commissions by forex brokers in 2026

As the most traded currency pair, EURUSD’s cost is seen as the industry benchmark for low-cost trading. For those dealing with forex majors, commission is the starting point to see which broker offers the best terms.

Just like in our gold commission article, this guide aims to give you an idea of what the standard commissions are for a typical raw account, so you won’t pay more than you should.

Methodology

In this comparison, we use live accounts with 12 brokers and look at commission per side for a standard lot (100,000 units) on EURUSD, in USD.

Our findings show that average commissions tend to cluster in a tight band which has defined the industry standard for the past few years.

Fee structure

Raw or ECN accounts have spreads close to 0 pips on liquid pairs like EURUSD during active hours, making commissions a dominant element of the broker’s revenue.

As per MT4 convention in retail forex, currency pairs on raw accounts have a fixed commission per lot per side. For example, $3.5 commission per side means $7 for opening and closing a one-lot position.

Commission range on EURUSD

Minimum

The lowest range commissions sit around $2.25 to $2.5 per side ($4 to $4.5 round turn), roughly 30% cheaper than a 3.5‑per‑side industry benchmark. At this low band you may find discount ECN brokers:

  • Roboforex quotes $20 per million per side, which is about $2.3 per lot.
  • Fusion Markets’s Zero account charges $2.25 per side.

Worth noting is that IC Markets is launching Raw Pro and Pro+ with $1.5 and $1 commissions, respectively. As mentioned in our gold commission article, we might see under-$2 as standard soon.

Maximum

At the upper end of raw‑account commissions for mainstream retail clients, you see per‑side fees in the $4–$6 band. These tend to be specialist or volume‑tiered brokers where smaller or less active traders pay the highest tier:

  • Dukascopy charges up to $4 (or $4.5 on MT4) before volume discounts.
  • AMarkets charges $5.5 per side on its Zero account.
  • Axiory charges $6 on its Zero and Nano accounts.

Average

In the middle of the pack, a large cluster of well‑known brokers charge roughly $3 to $3.5 per side, or $6 to $7 per round turn, which is standard for raw accounts. Examples brokers include:

  • XTB: broadly around $3 per side
  • FXTM, HYCM and CMC Markets also in line with the $3–$3.5 rule

Wrapping up

As of March 2026, $3 to $3.5 per side per lot is still the market average on EURUSD but some low‑cost raw accounts can go as low as $2 or $2.5. Again, any broker asking more needs to justify with more consistent execution or service.
